Each charter is self governing. Some states have more than one charter.<\/p>\n<strong>Our Purpose<\/strong><br \/>\nThe NHPA strives to promote and organize the sport and to standardize the rules, equipment and playing procedures. The top priority is to serve as a unifying agent between state associations, local clubs, unorganized groups and individual players. It can be played by one or more and by the young as well as the old.\n\t\t\t<a href=\"\/membership\/\"  target=\"_self\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tLearn More\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n<h1>\n\t\t\tThe NHPA World Tournament\t<\/h1>\n\t<p>The NHPA Officers approved a new World Participation Patch (Much like the Membership patch) to be awarded to those who have pitched in 10+,20+,30+,40+,50+,60+ World Tournaments. Lombard &#8220;Bart&#8221; Sargent from Massachusetts started compiling all NHPA World horseshoe pitchers from 1909 through 2003. His records were converted to an excel file for use on the NHPA website.
